Not sure what to do with your old athletic shoes? Nike and the National Recycling Coalition have the answer.

Donate your shoes from June 11th to July 11th to the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program and your shoes will be recycled along with hundreds of other shoes to make sport surfaces around the world. Led by members of the Oregon House Delegation and in its twelfth year of existence, this program has recycled 1-2 million defective and post-consumer athletic shoes which have been turned into over 170 international sport surfaces. Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program helps promote healthier lifestyles for kids through physical activity, keeping kids off the streets and on the court.
