With 110 participating stores nationwide, our Nike Factory Store communities play an active role in bringing “Let Me Play” to life. This year, we’re awarding grants of $2500 to organizations that get kids active and healthy using fun, innovative ways.

Join Mayor Mufi Hannemann at NIKETOWN Honolulu on Sunday, April 27, 2008, and bring your old tennies with you! Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program recycles worn-out sneakers into material used in sports surfaces for young people around the world. Help us reach our 20,000 shoe goal!

Nike and the LA84 Foundation are donating $4 million to renew 84 play surfaces and improve the quality of youth sports in Los Angeles. The new and refurbished play surfaces will help rejuvenate communities by creating spaces for children to play so they can lead healthy and active lifestyles.

We started the Let Me Play Fund for all those teams who tell us they face inequality in sports, because they’re girls. Lower budgets for their school team. Bake sales to buy uniforms. Rundown fields and courts. Low community support.

Will this all change overnight? No.
Can we do something about it? Yes.

The Nike-Changemakers Sport for a Better World Competition seeks leading innovations that use sport to improve community, accelerate development and drive social change.

This collaborative competition will identify innovative and transformative ideas and accelerate their development, innovation and potential for global impact.
